The Wave at the Seafront

Sunday 28 August at the Seafront Terraces Rottingdean



The quintet are performing the 2016 album Wave of Translation along with some tunes from the first album Up on the Downs this Sunday 28 August from 3.00pm to 4.45pm. Free entrance but seats go quickly so arrive in good time to avoid having to stand! Refreshments available from the adjacent Coachmann Inn. The band are Phil Paton on saxes, Jackie Sampson on vocals and percussion, Simon Cambers on drums, Matt Casterton on bass and composer John Lake on keyboards.

Gigs in August 2016

Following on from a superb reception at the Unitarian Church in Brighton on 29 July, the band have a number of gigs coming up in August - some are for the Trio, some the Quartet and one is with the Quintet - so make a note and choose which date and format suit you and we look forward to seeing you at one or more of them.
Friday 19 August Grand Hotel, Brighton. The trio will play their first gig at Brighton's superb hotel in the bar from 19.00 to 23.00. John Lake on grand piano, Oz Dechaine on bass and Simon Cambers on drums playing a range of modern jazz standards some pop re-workings and a few originals. Don't miss an evening of the greatest cocktails in town and jazz to match.

Saturday 27 August   Sovereign Yacht Club, Eastbourne Marina. 13.30 - 17.00. Club is open to all for this annual regatta. Sails, sea and such great music with food and drink to match. The trio will be playing a range of standards and original numbers with John Lake on keyboards, Matt Casterton on bass and Simon Cambers on drums.
