For the launch of the band's debut album,
Up On the Downs, held at The Verdict Jazz Cafe in Brighton, the trio were joined by long-time collaborator Phil Paton, on tenor and alto sax. Playing a selection of tunes from the album, along with interpretations of standards by The Yellowjackets, Pat Metheny and Thelonius Monk. A good turnout and a lovely venue made for an intimate and energetic gig, and some very blue notes.
